The New Celtic Church in the UK and Ireland is presided over by a Bishop of the Celtic Anabaptist Communion residing in the UK or Ireland...

It was formed to address the needs of disaffected Christians. These are the thousands of Christians who have been shaken out of established churches for whatever reasons.

These may include problems of race, compromise, shallowness, political, or simply the closure of their local church.

Many have been so hurt they can no longer trust Christian leaders.

The religious divide in many UK cities and in Ireland presents a difficult challenge to any new Christian movement. This can be highlighted by the following true happening.

A young man in his mid teens on finishing a tour of a St. Patrick exhibition, was heard asking this question.

“Was St Patrick a catholic or a protestant?”

It may seem funny to us, but to him it was a real dilemma. As with many people like him, there is no such thing as a middle way. Either you were a Catholic or a Protestant.

We seek to be all things to all men that we might win some for Christ.

The New Celtic Church UK and Ireland recognizes it predates the Church of Rome on these shores.

The church in our countries has been born of bloody schism and is still a dividing entity.

Sectarianism has no place within Christianity. Within our movement there is neither Catholic or Protestant only Celtic Anabaptist Christians.
